Podiatrist - Circle Hospital
One of Podiatric Rx's Birmingham Clinics is at the Circle Hospital which is located in Edgbaston Birmingham.
This unit replaces the former clinic based at the BMI Priory facility due to the move with the Physiotherapy team to Circle and continues the close collaboration with the Priory Physiotherapy team.
Mark also has excellent working relationships with his Orthopaedic colleagues in the sub specialty areas of foot & ankle and knee problems ensuring expert opinion for surgical intervention where indicated.
The BMI Priory Hospital Physiotherapy unit has relocated to the Circle Hospital based at the old Pebble Mill site in Birmingham.
This is a brand new purpose built Hospital which has been designed to deliver market leading health care to Birmingham and the wider population.
The venture is focussing heavily on Sports & Exercise Medicine (SEM) with cutting edge facilities and an expert team of clinicians who have a proven track record in the SEM arena.
Mark (Podiatric Rx) is proud to have been invited to be part of the team at Circle and will continue to deliver high quality clinical reasoning and expert management of the lower limb and foot & ankle injury across all patient groups.
The Circle Hospital also focusses on Neuro Rehabilitation and this is an area where Mark has been involved in supporting this patient group in their gait issues, using bespoke ankle foot orthoses (AFO), foot orthoses and modified footwear to optimise the functional deficits inherent to their particular condition.
In addition to the sports injury and Neuro Rehabilitation services Mark also provides expert management for non sports related foot and ankle injury and post operative complications, delivering effective interventions for acute and chronic problems.
Podiatric Rx is based in the Physiotherapy Outpatient department at the Circle Hospital.
The facilities at the Circle Hospital include a dedicated rehabilitation gym and treadmill which provide an excellent environment for gait analysis and lower limb structural screening.
The unit has access to Shockwave (ECSWT) which is an effective treatment tool for acute and chronic heel pain and tendon problems and also has a dedicated imaging unit on site.
